“Making Arrangements is Easy!”
FIRST:
Use our Contact Form to make sure we have your date and time of day open. Then we can schedule a consultation at a time and place convenient for everyone. We can meet at your home, at Starbucks, or any other place that is comfortable and convenient for you. Parents and others you want to attend are welcome, of course.
This meeting is comprehensive, and typically lasts from one to two hours. We will touch all the bases for planning your ceremony (and the rest of your day, if you like). It is our best opportunity to get acquainted and to discover if we are a good fit.
You will most likely leave with things to discuss and decisions to make – a good start toward A Perfect Ceremony. We are available afterward for all the email and telephone time needed to answer questions and work out details. There is no charge for this meeting, should you decide to work with someone else.
SECOND:
If you decide you want to work with Rev. Griffen, we sign an agreement and you place a deposit with us to hold your date and time.
THIRD:
Oh! There is no “third.”
There are no hoops to jump through, no religious conditions to be met, no requirements for counseling. We are available for those kinds of discussions, if you like. However, we assume that if you are old enough to get married, you don’t need our permission.
FEES & EXPENSES:
Rev. Griffen’s fee* is comprehensive. It covers the initial planning meeting (1-2 hours), a rehearsal (approximately 1 hour) and the wedding day itself (1.5 hours). It also covers normal creative work and all the email and phone conversations that go toward making your Perfect Ceremony. A non-refundable deposit of $125 is due when we sign an agreement in order to hold the date. The balance is due the week before your wedding.
For travel beyond the Portland area the fee is $30 per hour to the wedding site for the Rehearsal and the Ceremony. We don’t charge for the first hour of combined travel time. There may be additional fees to cover over-night expenses, or unusual time-consuming requests.

Fridays, Sundays, and Weekday Evenings – $395.00
“Pop-Up” Weddings and Elopements – $195.00
Military couples and Veterans – Take $100.00 off the top with our thanks for stepping up.
